My name is Charles and I live in a small home in the Kibera Slum, with my mother, older brother and younger sister.
I am fortunate to have completed my secondary school studies and to have been accepted into an aviation college in Nairobi. The course I am completing is air travel and tourism, and I am currently completing the first year of my degree. My family has always regarded education as an absolute priority, and despite living in the slum and earning around $1 per day, my family has been saving for years in an effort to provide my siblings and I with a good education.
