Kellcy

My name is Kellcy and I was born in Dagoreti Ngando, Kenya in 2003. I attended Magoso Primary School in the Kibera Slum, completing my primary education there in 2017. I have an older sister and a younger brother. We live with our mother in a single-roomed home, using curtains to create some privacy. My father passed away in 2013, so our family has been struggling on a single income for some time.

My sister was forced to drop out of secondary school in Form 3 (Year 11), due to lack of funds to pay her school fees.

I was raised by my grandmother, because my mother could not look after me for several years.

I dream of becoming an engineer when I grow up. I would also like to give back to the community once my dreams are achieved.
