Brighton
My name is Brighton and I was born in 2006 as an only child. My father is a small-scale farmer who makes very little income from his hard work while my mother cleans houses. Their combined income is very unstable and rarely covers our basic necessities. Despite all the odds, I scored a good mark in my final primary school exams in 2019. Since joining Kenyatta High School in 2020, my education was interrupted several times because I kepy getting sent home because my parents could not afford the secondary school school fees.
In 2021, my academic future was uncertain, as I was no longer able to attend school without a sponsor.
Luckly in 2022 I was accepted into the Kickstart Project Sponsorship Program. This ensured that I could complete my secondary school education.
I dream of working in medicine when I finish school so that I can help others in the community.
