Angel

Angel was born in Kayole, Nairobi in 2010. Angel has one older brother. Until recently, she lived with her parents and brothers in a tiny, single-roomed house in the Kibera Slum. Her father, the only parent working, lost his job during COVID and they were forced to move in with an aunty as they were no longer able to afford the monthly rent.

Angel’s brother was forced to drop out of secondary school during COVID due to their parent’s lack of funds to pay school fees. Angel knew this would be the same fate for herself if she did not find a sponsorship.

 

Angel dreams of becoming a journalist. She also hopes to be able to give back and sponsor needy children in Kenya so that they can achieve their dreams.
