Fareed

Fareed was born in Lugari Sub-County, Kenya in 2009. He has 8 siblings and his parents are currently unemployed. For the last 7 years, Fareed’s father and two of his siblings have suffered chronic kidney problems, which has resulted in a significant burden for his mother to support the whole family. She is occasionally able to find work cleaning houses, but her income is very inconsistent.

Fareed and his siblings have missed a lot of school due to these health and financial challenges but they remain determined to break out of poverty.

Fareed dreams of creating a better life for his siblings and parents so that they can access better healthcare and improved standards of living. 

Fareed aims to attend university and to become an electrical engineer when his finishes school.
