Silvia

Silvia was born in Lugari, Kenya in 2010. She lived in the Kibera Slum with her parents and 4 siblings until the age of 10. Tragically, Silvia’s mother passed away in 2020, leaving the 5 children behind. Silvia and siblings moved in with their aunt, as their father was unable to support them with the little income he earned.

Silvia had to move away from her father to live with another family member who was in a better position to support her financially. Unfortunately, this family member also tragically passed away shortly before finishing her primary school education.

Despite the significant losses and hardships that Silvia has endured in her life, she remains positive and determined to create a better life for herself. 

Silvia dreams of becoming the first female president of Kenya. After noticing a lack of honesty and transparency in their current government, as well as a significant disparity between the opportunities for men and women in her country, Silvia has vowed to change this. She aims to create a fair, corruption-free Kenya, where women are given equal opportunities.
